    The internal looks neat and tidy. On the left you see the mains filter and next to it the rectifier of the mains voltage with two large smoothing capacitors.       Q: Hi, I've the 24VDC model (230VAC input) with Riden RD6006 and box and it's working fine for the output but the fan is always working even with no load connected. I tried also to power the power supply even without the Riden or any other load but the fan is always working and it is quite noisy.       Notall of these power supplies are equal when it comes to thermal regulation. I have the S400-60 and the fan only kicks in under moderate load and isn't even that loud when it runs (top mounted fan). I know the S800-70 behaves like yours (fan's mounted at the back). That's noisy at idle and obnoxiously loud under load. Nothing you can do about it unless you start modifying the hardware.
